#36: Buy food for RATA Social Services

Rata Social Services is a faith based welfare organisation, rendering social services in 4 provinces.

They strive to enable people to change from brokenness to wholeness through professional social services, specialising in child protection. The number and needs of families and children dependent on material assistance increased drastically since the National Lockdown.

Currently they are unable to fulfil the need due to a lack of resources. Their 13 offices indicate a need for 300 food parcels per week and it is heart-wrenching to turn away many hungry families. With your assistance they would be in a position to really make a difference in the lives of many more children and families.

#28: Buy food for Huis Oase

Since 2008, “Huis Oase” has been providing a home for the elderly who receive only a state pension and have nowhere else to go.

As state pensioners, the residents’ monthly contribution is not sufficient to cover all the expenses necessary to maintain their care and day-to-day needs.  Continuous fundraising projects and other initiatives like recycling is necessary to help meet the monthly budget.  It has been especially difficult during the “lock-down” since we could not do any recycling and all other fundraising projects came to a sudden standstill.

If you are in a position to help make a difference it will be greatly appreciated.
